We made it electric.

A Filter Never Gets Better Than the Day It Was Made

Air pollution contributed to 7.9 million deaths in 2023, the second largest risk factor for death worldwide (State of Global Air, 2025). The technology guarding indoor air has not fundamentally changed in eighty years.

Viral Diseases

Respiratory illnesses spread rapidly through indoor air, overwhelming healthcare systems.

1B+ seasonal flu cases a year (WHO)

Cardiovascular Impact

Fine particulate exposure is linked to heart attack, stroke, and heart failure. Short-term spikes can trigger events in susceptible people (U.S. EPA).

PM2.5 can trigger cardiac events

Health-Critical Buildings

Americans spend about 90% of their time indoors, where pollutant levels often run two to five times higher than outdoors (U.S. EPA). Senior living, clinics, and schools house the people least able to absorb that exposure.

We Make the Filter Itself an Electrode

Pristine graphene, laid onto the same glass fiber HEPA already runs on, in one added step of the process that forms the mat.

On-Demand Electric Field

Unlike traditional HEPA filters where static charges fade over time, our graphene coating lets you apply an electric field on command. Capture becomes a setting, not a property fixed at manufacture.

Capture Without the Airflow Penalty

A mechanical filter buys capture with finer, denser fibers, and the fan pays for it in pressure drop. An electric field adds capture without changing the medium at all.

Drop-In Integration

A HEPA-substrate drop-in upgrade for the filter slot the building already has. No HVAC changes. It plugs into a standard outlet and draws less power than a night light.

Off Means Ordinary HEPA

Cut the power and the medium is still a standard mechanical HEPA filter. The electrical layer adds capture on top. It is never the thing holding the floor.

For eighty years, this was folded paper.

Capture Is a Setting, Not a Property

You have been raising the field since the top of this page. This is the switch itself. Flip it and watch what the energized lattice does to the air moving through.

Single-Fiber Capture Model

First-principles model
Particles through, against particle diameter How many particles out of every ten thousand get through the medium, plotted against particle diameter from 0.02 to 1 micron. With the field off the curve peaks near 0.18 microns. Raising the field pushes the curve down, and the gap between the two curves is widest at that same peak. 0.18 µm HARDEST SIZE TO CATCH 681 0.02 0.05 0.1 0.2 0.5 1.0 0 200 400 600 800 PARTICLE DIAMETER (µm) THROUGH, PER 10,000 ARRIVING
Grey is this medium with the field off. Cyan is the same medium, same airflow, field on. The shaded gap is what the field adds, and it is widest exactly where the grey curve peaks.

At 0.18 µm, the model says

1 in 15 gets through, field off
1 in 15 gets through, field on

Drag the size dial away from 0.18 microns and watch the gap close. The field is not a general improvement. It is a targeted one, and it targets the one size mechanical filtration cannot.

What this model is, and what it is not

Single-fiber filtration theory on our own measured fiber: Kuwabara flow around a 0.65 micron borosilicate glass fiber, Lee-Liu and Kirsch-Stechkina mechanical capture, and electrostatic capture in the conductive-collector form given by Brown, Air Filtration (1993), Eqs. 6.60 to 6.61. The field-on case assumes a small upstream charger, which is the architecture the physics points at. The mechanical curve is validated on its own against a real HEPA penetration curve before any electrostatics are added. The same code runs the aerosol behind this page.

Every number this panel shows is what the model produces for a stated medium at a stated field. None of it is a measured AeroGraphiX filter result and none of it should be quoted as one. What the applied voltage delivers on a real coated mat is the open measurement, and it is a bench question rather than a theory question.

Four panel figure. A, model validation showing the most penetrating size near 0.18 microns. B, the field reaching HEPA grade capture at about a third of the back pressure. C, electrostatic capture rising where mechanical capture bottoms out. D, the fiber charge required is ordinary electret charge.
The four-panel derivation the interactive is built from. It carries its own disclaimer along the bottom edge, which is where that sentence belongs.
Scanning electron micrograph of a borosilicate glass microfiber mat with graphene sheets draped across the fibers. The instrument data bar reads SEM HV 20.00 kV, magnification 1.01 kx, view field 377.1 microns, detector SE, VEGA3 TESCAN.
Everything else on this page is simulated. This is not. Graphene sheets draped over individual glass fibers, imaged on a VEGA3 TESCAN at 20.00 kV with a 377 micron field of view. Our own imaging, and the instrument data bar is left intact.

Strongest Where HEPA Is Weakest

Every mechanical filter has one particle size it is worst at. For our fiber that is near 0.18 microns, and that is the size the applied field does the most for. The two mechanisms cover for each other.

Pristine Graphene

Using pristine graphene (not graphene oxide) for maximum conductivity. SEM imaging confirms uniform coating on glass fibers.

Scalable Manufacturing

Just three ingredients: graphite, heptane, water. Graphene self-assembles onto fibers at room temperature. No CVD, no vacuum deposition.

The Market Is Big. Our Edge Is How We Land It.

We sell through the HVAC contractors and supply houses who already service health-critical buildings, so the relationship is bought, not built. (TAM: Grand View Research, 2025. Facility count: Census CBP, CDC, NCES.)

What We Are Looking For

AeroGraphiX, Inc. is a Delaware C corporation built on University of Connecticut research. Two asks right now: a regulatory advisor who has run a HEPA certification battery, and introductions to HVAC contractors serving health-critical facilities. If that is you, or you know who it is, let's talk.
